Moses School of Diabetology was inaugurated on the World Diabetes Day, November 14, 1998 in Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences University, Hyderabad. 
Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India is the largest professional organization of diabetes experts, health care providers and researchers in India.  RSSDI was founded in New Delhi by Late Professor M.M.S. Ahuja in 1972.  At the 25th anniversary meeting of the Society, Prof. M.M.S. Abuja has decided to take steps for formation of a diabetes research forum with a seed money donation of Rs. one lakh.  Following his sad demise, it is proposed that these objectives shall be met by a team of eminent teachers and researchers in the country by raising a corpus money for Ahuja Research Fund. 
Text Book of Diabetes Mellitus, First Edition, 880 pages, 62 chapters in 11 sections by 88 authors, was edited by  Professors M.M.S. Ahuja, B.B. Tripathy, Sam G.P. Moses, H.B. Chandalia, A.K. Das, P.V. Rao, S.V. Madhu in 2001. Indian Books and Periodical in diabetes.
Past CME Programs in diabetes
Accreditation in Diabetology CME in diabetes throughout the country since 1996.  Curriculum for Post Graduate training in diabetes for clinicians. Between 1998 and 2001, Accreditation committee with Professors Sam G.P. Moses, Ashok K. Das and P.V. Rao coordinated CMEs. Primary Care Clinicians with MB BS degree from recognized universities participated in this program.
X Annual Meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Diabetes Federation and International CME on Diabetes Care in Asian Indians on October 14 and 15, 2000 in Hyderabad was sponsored by more than 400 Indian clinicians.
Annual Review in Diabetology for Primary Care Clinicians in December 2005 by Moses School of Diabetology, University Hospital, Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad and proposed to be under the auspices of the WHO Collaborating Center for Diabetes in Developing Countries, Vuk Vrhovac Institute, Univeristy of Zagreb, Croatia
